Use MAKEUSER to create or delete several users
at a time. Three options are available:
Create New USR File
Use to create the USR file that MAKEUSER
reads to create or delete users.
Edit USR File
Use to edit an existing USR file.

Process USR File
Use to process a USR file. Users aren't
created or deleted until the USR file is
processed.
Errors are reported as the file is
scanned. Results are recorded in a
matching RPT file. If there are no
errors, the file is processed.

Use this to create a USR file so MAKEUSER can
create or delete users. (Then use "Process a
USR file" for the file to take effect.)
To create the USR file, use keywords and their
variables to create users and assign user
rights and restrictions, or to delete users.
The next screens list the keywords and their
variables and give guidelines for using them.o

Guidelines for using keywords:
1. #CREATE or #DELETE must be included; other
keywords are optional.
2. #CLEAR or #RESET marks the beginning of a
new set of keywords within the same file.
3. Keywords you apply to specific users must
precede #CREATE or #DELETE for those users.

4. If the same keyword is used more than once,
the last value is used. Others are ignored.
5. Each keyword must be on a separate line.
6. To extend information for a keyword to the
next line, put "+" after the last variable
on the line.

7. To terminate a #CREATE line, insert a caret
(^) after the last variable. Don't use a
space between the caret and last variable.
8. To skip a variable, use a double semicolon
(;;) in place of the missing variable (but
not at the end of the variable list).

Enter the name of an existing USR file.
To select a USR file in this directory, press
<Insert>; then highlight the filename and
press <Enter>.
To select a USR file in a directory with a
drive mapped to that directory, press <Escape>
and enter the drive letter and filename.E

Use this to edit a USR file, which contains
keywords and their variables. MAKEUSER uses
USR files to create or delete users.
After you edit a USR file, use "Process a USR
File" for the file to take effect.

These are USR files in the current directory.
To select a USR file in this directory,
highlight the filename and press <Enter>.
To select a USR file in a directory with a
drive mapped to that directory, press <Escape>

Enter the name of a script file, or press
<Insert> and choose a USR file.
Processing Script File Help 1 of 1
The MAKEUSER script file is first scanned for
illegal commands. If any are found they are
listed on your screen.
If only warnings are found, you must confirm
them to continue.
When the script file is processed, press
<Escape> to return to the main menu.
